Urinal Robot
I was using the lavatory at a restaurant in Osoyoos, BC when I saw this sad robot. I had to take a photo. The guy beside me thought I was taking a picture of something else.

We're back!
Hello friends! It's been a while since I've posted anything on this blog. I haven't been making Honkbarn lately as there are so many other ideas and projects which are occupying my time. That's why I've switched this blog up to feature our company Yeti Farm Creative. We're a studio of 10 artists and animators based in Kelowna, BC. We're kicking off this updated blog with a project I've been working on with THE Andrew W.K.. Enjoy!

Old vs. New
I figure it's about time I dust off the ol' Honkbarn and try to bring it back to life. I'm trying to add a bit more life to the characters and design them so they're a bit easier to animate. I like the crude old version but the brighter colours should translate better against a BG. Here's Barn. New or old?

Here's a few screen shots from a documentary by filmmaker Jeff Chiba Stearns. It's a live action doc with a few animated sections. I had the pleasure of designing and animating a sequence for this film. One of the best jobs I've had in animation, Jeff is an uber talented guy and was a lot of fun to work with. His film will release soon I hope. I've seen a rough cut and it's amazing so far. The final screen shot is based on a landscape in Kelowna, my hometown and soon to be new home again. We're moving there tomorrow after 11 years in Vancouver. It'll be nice to slow things down a bit and be closer to family, the ski hills and lake. I'll miss all the good folks I've met in Vancouver but will be back to visit soon. Till next time!
